Welcome to Hort-Pro

When we first approached the idea of an on-line magazine, we knew it would have to deal with topics of interest to both the professional, who works in horticulture every day, and the avid gardener, who is receiving excellent information from many different sources.  We couldn’t do it, we’d run out of material in less than a month!

Lucky for us, John Morley walked in and offered his services (he looks at this as a hobby).  After 14 years as director of the world-famous Niagara Parks Commission School of Horticulture, 6 years as the director of Parks & Recreation for the City of Edmonton and a few years on the East Coast, we knew he wouldn’t run out of material.

John called a few colleagues, we called a few colleagues, suddenly we could write a book.

Hort-Pro is managed by John.  In no way will it be biased to Rittenhouse or our product line.  This on-line magazine will feature regular, timely articles on all aspects of the industry.  We welcome your suggestions and articles, credit will be given where credit is due.

As John also manages his own consulting firm, we prefer comments and suggestions rather than questions.  Check back again soon, articles will change often, and ongoing projects will be updated.

Thanks,

Mark Rittenhouse
