Welcome to Hort-Pro

Late June

The flowers are in bloom, the vegetable plants are growing, the weeds multiplying!!

The days are getting longer, hotter and lazier.

It's time to open the cottage and escape the city to the waterfront (or the beach, if you're lucky).

Maybe it's time to buy new lawn furniture, or decorative pieces designed for the  garden.

Our first article is from John Morley. The article is titled, THE ANALYTICAL OR SYSTEMATIC APPROACH TO LANDSCAPE DESIGN. This article is along the same lines as an article we published last year which was called "Basic Principles and Elements of Landscape Design". (see note below)

Well, we goofed! We apologize to Wes Porter----April's City Gardening was bumped to June. There are some wonderful tips---for future reference, as well, take note of the catalogue section for seeds and other gardening products.

However,  with respect to "The Gardener" we have posted a plethora of articles ranging from hydrangeas, to orchids, clematis, hibiscus to wormwood. We hope you enjoy the variety.

On the lighter side, we have published a classic from the Duffer on the trials and tribulations of children, entitled: ...the matter with kids today.

Note from the Webmaster:

We have been tracking the readership of the Hort-Pro for 18 months and I thought I would share some of the information with our valued readers. These are the most viewed Hort-Pro articles in no particular order. If you have any suggestions for future articles or would like to contribute an article please feel free to e-mail me at webmaster@rittenhouse.ca
