Welcome to Hort-Pro

               A Mid-Summer Night's Gardening:

Summer is slipping into fall, but before we start thinking about turkey and those dreaded snow flakes, here's one more blast of summer heat!!!

Check out Wes Porter's The Heat is Turned (City Gardener). It's a collection of factoids and gardening happenings in Metropolitan Toronto.

Aeration,, by John Morley, deals with the evil that lurks in your lawn!

Magnolias, by Bruce Zimmerman, gives insights into care and fertilization of spring and summer blooming Magnolias.

Finally, we close with a selection of "The Gardener" articles from Wes Porter:

The Gardener - Early August 2000

The Gardener - August 3 1999 (Daylillies and Tiger Lillies, oh my!)

The Gardener - August 17 1999 (The Bearded Iris and the Beautiful Bulb)

The Gardener - August 31 1999 (The Sweet Sights and Sounds of Toronto's Music Garden)
