Welcome to Hort-Pro 2001

Happy New Year Hort-Pro Readers

We are all finished dreaming of a white Christmas and now is the time to begin dreaming and preparing for a more colourful time of year.  Spring is no where near, but our experts seem to be telling us to begin designing now for the dream garden of 2001.

John Morley's CANNAS ARE BACK IN FULL BLOOM gives us tips on over wintering and preparing our Cannas tubers for planting in the spring.  He also provides an extremely good list of the available kinds and their colour variations along with some beautiful pictures.

Wesley Porter's January 2001 issue of City Gardening Chores Indoors to Keep Warm, focuses on what we gardeners can do to prepare for the next growing season along with his usual pot-pourri of Gardening news from around the world and other great tidbits.
