Welcome to Hort-Pro

All of the Staff and writers of the Hort-Pro wish you all the best for the Holiday Season and the New Year to come.  This year's last edition of Hort-Pro includes a lot of great horticultural news.  If it is as cold and snowy where you are, as where we are here I hope that you will get yourself a good hot cup of your favourite warm up and join me to read the words of wisdom from our gardening gurus.

John Morley has written an enlightening article on Parks In Transition, in which he opens our eyes on some environmental versus governmental issues.  As always John's astute observations are up to date and pertinent.

Go Behind The Scenes with Bruce Zimmerman as he takes us into the studio where he produces his call in gardening show.  He has included some great photographs to help us on this field trip into the life of a radio show host.

Wes Porter's Home Horticultural History takes a brief look at the rich history of Toronto's Horticultural tradition.  Wes also has provided December's edition of his newsletter, City Gardening.  In this edition he wraps up the 2000 gardening season with a few final chores, gives us some tips for festive decorations and previews the plants and seeds available for 2001.
