Well it's getting cold out there and now is the
best time to wrap up all the work in the garden that is hard to do in
those bulky winter clothes. Before we start lets check with our
experts to get all the details on what to do and how, so we can make
our trip into the outdoors as efficient as possible.
Let's give a warm welcome to our newest
Hort-Pro
Contributor The Ontario Hosta Society. We are pleased to bring
you excerpts from their newsletter. They have kindly allowed us
to reproduce their literature here so look forward to seeing more and
more information on Hostas over the next couple of issues of Hort-Pro
Magazine.
Volume 6 Number 2
Summer 2000 is the
first issue we have for you.
John Morley's Article this
month will sets us dreaming of Spring and planning what we will do in
the garden next year. It's always a good idea when cleaning out
the garden to have a rough plan of next season's landscaping so we know
how best to prepare. Colour

Wes Porter's City Gardening this months is full of
good advice and also includes some interesting tidbits about
horticulture around the globe. His Newsletter WINDING
DOWN FOR THE SEASON also
includes that list of books full of advice for the Canadian Gardener we
have been waiting for.
Wes has also sent
in November's column
to give us the latest research on all our least favorite pests.
Bruce Zimmerman tells us what to do in Fall Garden
Cleanup in order to give us a jump start on controlling next years
